Vessels of up to 90 meters O.A.L are considered to be ideal for Berwick Harbour, however, ships up to 116 meters O.A.L and fitted with twin screws, plus bow thruster, have visited the port on a number of occassions, max beam 16 meters.  Entries and departures at the port are timed for high water slack period, normally one hour before to one hour after H.W. Maximum drafts 4.6m during Spring Tides to 3.7m during Neap Tides.
