There is frequent trade to all European Ports, the Baltic, and the Mediterranean.  The A1 road is less that ten minutes from the harbour, serving the North and South of the United Kingdom.

Principle cargoes include fertiliser, grains, cement, animal feed and timber.  Unusaual cargoes such as turbine blades and towers have also been successfully handled.
