Notice is hereby given that on or about 11th July 2013 dredging operations will commence in Tweed Dock and in the dock approach channel. These will continue for approximately 3 weeks.
Mariners are requested to navigate with caution and give the dredger "Sandsend" as wide berth as possible at all times. Regulation dredging signals will be exhibited day and night by the dredging vessel.

There is frequent trade to all European Ports, the Baltic, and the Mediterranean. The A1 road is less than ten minutes from the Harbour, serving the North and South of the United Kingdom.
Principle cargoes include Fertiliser, Grains, Cement, Animal feed and Timber. Unusual cargoes such as Turbine blades and Towers have also been successfully handled.
