BERTHS
Tweed dock offers three commercial berths, 124m, 108m, and one of 97m. The dock is tidal, depths alongside are dependant on the prevailing tide heights but average 1.5 - 2.0m at M.L.W.S. Vessels lie aground on level mud.
HANDLING RESTRICTIONS
Vessels of up to 90 metres over-all-length are considered ideal for Berwick Harbour, however, ships up to 116 metres over-all-length and fitted with twin screws, plus bow thruster, have visited the port on a number of occassions, max beam 16 metres. Entries and departures at the prt are timed for high water slack period, normally one hour before to one hour after high water. Maximum drafts of 4.6m during Spring tides to 3.7m neap tides.

Tweed dock has 3,200 square metres of covered storage room with a further 1,500 square metres of uncovered storage facilities.
